PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES
I primarily work with clients within queer community, especially trans folks, and lifestyles such as kink, polyamory, or sex work. My hope is to provide a safe space (and a sliding scale!) where you don't have to spend your time in therapy educating your therapist on the concepts that are everyday within your own life. I love work around emotional regulation, communication and conflict resolution, with individuals and with multiple people within a relationship, to help develop healthier coping mechanisms, processing techniques, and self-acceptance/self-care methods to improve feelings of empowerment, security, and life satisfaction.
I use parts of CBT (cognitive behavior), DBT (dialectical behavior), ACT (acceptance/commitment), motivational interviewing, narrative work, and other techniques. But ultimately, what matters most isn't my technique, it's our relationship. I will respect you, take you seriously, and be authentic with you to help you be a version of yourself you're proud of.
It's easy in this life to feel powerless. There's so much going on that impacts you that you can't control. I believe that you're the expert on yourself, and I'm the expert on psychology and therapy - I want to empower you to feel capable of changing your life, changing your perspective and habits, to create the life that works for your health and happiness!
